Escape to this rural bolthole, that’s perfect for a family, on a wonderful Cornish complex of 11 units amid idyllic rolling countryside. Near the Polperro Heritage Coast with its history of smuggling, pretty Polruan and Polperro are both within 4 miles in different directions, with dog-friendly Lansallos Beach in the middle (2.5 miles). This three-bed stone cottage also welcomes up to two canine chums. It boasts access to the shared garden and grounds, as well as the other perks on offer like the games room and play park.
This single-storey cottage’s dedicated entrance leads you from the courtyard into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen is fully equipped for holiday cooking and there’s a dining table for more formal indoor meals. The cosy lounge area has sofa seating in front of an open fire, which adds to the traditional feel from the exposed stonework and blackened timbers. The sleeping quarters comprise one double bedroom along with two singles, each with an additional trundle bed (under-16s only). Outside, is an allocated patio area with BBQ and garden and table and chairs, the perfect spot to dine alfresco after a long day exploring.
Make magic memories on-site in the pool, hot tub, sauna, play park and games room. Take four-legged friends to the dedicated dog field before showering them off with the bespoke warm doggy shower! Nearby towns and villages include picturesque Looe (7 miles), pretty Polperro and slightly quieter Polruan. From here, jump on board a passenger ferry to cross over to bustling Fowey – possibly the most quintessential Cornish fishing town. Walkies pose no problem when the South West Coast Path is so near and offers a different take on the coastline. Further afield, tick the Eden Project (13 miles) off your bucket list. Dogs are welcome, just not in the biomes.
