The harbour is just a few steps from this terraced holiday home. Overlooking the slipway at St Ives Harbour, this smart seaside home offers an unrivalled holiday experience. It has three bedrooms – one on the ground floor – and spacious living areas with sea views, perfect for socialising.

Built on a slope, this property has some changes of level between rooms; once through the front door, there are three steps down to the hallway, from which a double bedroom and cloakroom share the ground floor layout with an open-plan dining room and kitchen. The contemporary kitchen area has all the essentials for an effortless stay; to the front of the room, the dining area has a large window so you can enjoy gorgeous harbour views as you eat. More lovely views are delivered by the first-floor lounge where there’s a choice of seating plus all the expected home-style entertainment. Two bedrooms offer a choice for sleep-time, one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds. A shower room, bathroom and separate cloakroom with WC offer ultimate flexibility and convenience when you’re all ready to start your day.

Just a few steps from your front door, St Ives Harbour has a soft, sandy beach that’s revealed as the tide ebbs, while the wharf that edges it is lined with shops, pubs, cafes and galleries. Ancient cobbled streets lead across to other beaches, the grassy Island headland and the iconic Tate St Ives gallery – there really is something for everyone here! Much of the harbour’s trade involves fishing and excursion boat trips; if you’d prefer to explore by land, then the historic mining town of St Just is 15 miles away and 6 miles on, Land’s End is another must-see.

We chose Richard's Song for the superb location and it certainly is. A roomy and comfortable house with the ideal position for the harbour, central to beaches either way, and unsurpassed for people watching and their dogs! Our second time and would highly recommend.

Everything was great, clean, good location. Just couldn't locate the outside bin and perhaps could have done with more kitchen utensils/pans etc. But overall a lovely property, we had a great stay.
