The shower room is also up here. Spill out into the garden on sunny days to enjoy lunch or a glass out wine out in the Cornish sunshine.

Lace up your walking boots and venture out on hikes through the surrounding countryside and moorland. Head to the pretty cove at Porth Nanven, 5 miles away, to paddle in the sea and relax on the sand. Sennen Beach, 8 miles away, is a great place for swimming, surfing and family days out. Carthew Mill Cottage was everything we had hoped it would be. Unused to an open plan layout we really enjoyed being together and cooking with the well equipped kitchen area, including the clean cooker. Having our three dogs with us was a lovely opportunity and there was plenty of room for them by the great wood burning stove after long country/beacRead moreh walks. The area is great for both and there are beautiful gardens to visit. The bright conservatory onto the safe, enclosed garden was a real bonus and having the garden gate, meant dogs could be dried off easily outside before coming into the conservatory first. They were truly well catered for with bedding, bowls, towels and even treats! The garden gate led straight out to a green lane, perfect for exercising the dogs too. The welcome pack for the humans was equally generous - milk, butter, sausages, bread, eggs, croissants and beautiful flowers. Upstairs, the bedding was more hotel like than cottage - extremely comfortable bed with sumptuous, beautify laundered bedding and soft, fluffy towels. There were even spares waiting in the airing cupboard should they be needed. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Hide
