A really excellent little cottage, perfect for 2, in a lovely peaceful spot just 30 seconds walk from the Quay. Beautifully fitted out, great furnishings, especially that settee!
The whole property has been so well thought out with equipment etc, that the guest is wanting for nothing! Would highly recommend this property for its location just tucked away from the harbour. Delightful and charming in every way.
It’s beautiful, we loved it!
The cottage was a lovely little thing indeed. We had a fantastic time and given that this is a dog friendly cottage we was extremely impressed with the level of cleanliness as well as the fixtures and fittings. We would not think twice about booking this or other cottages in the near future.
What a beautiful cottage in such a picturesque village. We have totally fallen in love with Mousehole. This cottage is a hidden gem and we have had a fabulous week here which got off to a great start thanks to the lovely little welcome gift. We are sad to be leaving but thank you for amazing hospitality and a super comfy bed!
We love Mousehole and try to visit at least once a year. This is our first visit to The Old Pilchard Press and hopefully not our last. An excellent property for two in a quiet but central location. High standard of furnishing, fixtures and linen. Kitchen was very well equipped with just about everything you could want. One of the best we have stayed in so far.
Wonderful cottage! We've had an amazing time here and seen some lovely places too, Minack, St Ives etc. Thank you - we hope to come back!
We had the most amazing four days in this beautiful cottage! Thank you so much for creating such an amazing getaway. The location is incredible, we visited most of the Cornwall coastline and have slept so well thanks to the sea air. The cottage had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was a great treat. It was hard not to relax.
The picturesque fishing village of Mousehole is situated on the south coast of Cornwall between Penzance and Land's End. Retaining much of its old world charm the narrow winding streets are filled with art galleries, cafes, small gift shops and restaurants. The vibrant busy harbour reveals a safe sandy beach at low tide, perfect for families to relax and enjoy a lesuirely afternoon in the sun.
There are many nearby attractions just a short car journey away including Land's End, The Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount and Porthcurno Telegraph Museum. West Cornwall also has some of the best beaches in the county with Marazion, Pednavounder, Sennen, Porthcurno and Lamorna all within easy reach.
Mousehole is a great all year round destination, popular in all seasons and always has plenty to offer. From coastal walks along the Cornish cliff path in the summer to Christmas lights and cosy pubs with open fires in the winter you will always get a warm welcome from Mousehole.
