Stay in this characterful cottage on the coast of Looe and enjoy the many thoughtful features, from the crackling wood burner for cosy evenings to the quaint courtyard where you can enjoy the summer sun and fresh sea air. Within half a mile, you’ll find the beautiful beach of East Looe, whilst 2 miles away is the woodland haven of Kilminorth Woods situated beside the calming river ensuring a range of diverse days out right on your doorstep.

You’ll feel instantly at home upon entering the living room/diner with its charming inset wood burner, luxurious leather sofas and nautical nods to its seaside location found in the decor. Beside the window is a four-seater dining table where breakfasts, lunches and dinners can be enjoyed. Next door is the galley-style kitchen with crisp white cabinets and a modern finish making the most of the space and ensuring you have everything you need to cook up a storm. Upstairs is an elegant king-size bedroom with a sumptuous bed and a TV, as well as a twin bedroom with pops of blue adding a playful touch to the room. Completing the property is the shower room which has a contemporary style and a wonderful curved shower cubicle where you can wash off the sand after a day at the beach. The patio-style garden has a bench and table with chairs, as well as a string of fairy lights to ensure you can use the space day or night.

Head to the harbour (less than half a mile) to find a blissful boat trip for a fun family day out, opting for one of the glass-bottomed boat trips where you can see what’s beneath the surface, or heading out to Looe Island to spot rare plant life and wildlife. From the town, you’ll have great access to the South West Coast Path, with a moderate 6-mile walk from Looe-Polperro offering up some spectacular panoramic views with plenty of spots to stop off for a picnic en route. Further afield, the Eden Project (21 miles) offers a taste of the Mediterranean and rainforest climates with their impressive biomes filled with interesting facts and interactive exhibits.

We enjoyed a lovely week in Looe at Quay cottage! The location was perfect, the beds were really comfortable and it was equipped with everything we needed. Can't wait to come back!
