This charming property, situated in the lovely village of Hessenford just 5 miles from Looe, is perfect for families or groups of friends that are looking for a quiet Cornish holiday to escape from the pressures of busy life. Sleeping six over three comfortable bedrooms, you can really switch off and relax without any distractions as the mobile signal is variable. Enjoy a family pizza night cooked in the outdoor pizza oven in the garden and dine alfresco, moving into the wonderful summerhouse when it gets a little chilly.

The delightful cottage features stone-flagged flooring and dark wood beams that give it so much character. The farmhouse-style kitchen is fresh and bright with a Range-style gas oven for cooking up tasty meals; have sociable meals at the dining table before retiring to the seating area for an after-dinner coffee. Light the wood burner and get cosy in the lounge, snuggling up on the sofa together and watching your favourite film, or take a relaxing soak in the wonderful wood-panelled bath among gleaming tiles in the bathroom. At bedtime, head up to the peaceful bedrooms; all have tranquil pastel tones and the family room has fantastic exposed stone walls.

Head off to Seaton Beach (2.5 miles) where little ones will love exploring the rock pools, but if it’s a sandy beach you’re after East Looe (5.5 miles) is perfect. Spend the day at Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary (4.5 miles) where you’ll meet over 30 monkeys, or visit rescued exotic animals at Porfell Wildlife Park (14.5 miles). Polperro (10 miles) is an idyllic old fishing village that’s well worth a stroll around; visit the model village and the stunning beach.
