Bowsprits is a lovely little property, and its location within the delightful town of Fowey allows you to take full advantage of the amenities on your doorstep. The windows from the living areas and bedroom provide a lovely outlook down to the river with its pleasure - and sailing-boats. This apartment is a charming retreat for a couple looking to spend a relaxing break in this peaceful Cornish town.
Door into communal hall and stairs to first floor (shared with second floor apartment above).
Kitchen/Diner/Lounge: Electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, refrigerator, wardrobe, wall mounted 50'' TV, Blu-ray DVD player, surround sound, electric flame effect fire, river views.

GARDEN & PARKING: There is no garden and no parking. Weekly parking is available in the one of the 2 car parks in Fowey, 500 or 700 yards from the apartment.
Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.

Power and Heat: Electricity and gas included in rent; gas fired c.h., electric flame effect fire in lounge, heated towel rail.

If you haven't yet discovered Fowey, you've got a treat in store. Full of multicoloured cottages, perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea, this little fishing town has lots to tempt visitors.
There is an entrancing collection of unique local shops and boutiques, along with harbourside cafes, pubs which will give you a hearty welcome and a good atmosphere, and restaurants offering tempting local produce. If you want a unique insight into the local species in these waters, you could visit Fowey Aquarium, whose residents include specimens brought in by local fishermen.
If you're a fan of Daphne du Maurier, you may want to visit the Literary Centre, which gives information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. There is also the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, held in May, in which du Maurier, and many other authors, artists and musicians, are celebrated. Another great spectacle is the Fowey Royal Regatta, held in August.
Fowey lies within one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, and the backdrop of the surrounding countryside, with its tidal creeks, rolling fields and rugged cliffs, will make you want to return here again and again.
