A delightful traditional cottage in Porthleven’s busy fishing village is ideal for a family looking for a relaxing holiday close to the magnificent Cornish coastline. It is less than 500 metres with your buckets and spades to reach the sandy expanse of Porthleven Beach, or four miles walk along the South West Coast Path to Praa Sands with its great surf making it ideal for water sports enthusiasts.

This contemporary property set over two floors retains the original feel of the cottage with wooden doors and an exposed stone chimney in the dining area and blends them beautifully with elegant furnishings in coastal hues. This is a real home-from-home with an open-plan lounge/diner providing a lovely social space with two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a window seat that allows plenty of natural light. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to make meal preparation a cinch. Stairs from the dining area lead up to the first floor, where you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, and a family bathroom. Outside is an enclosed courtyard with a raised decking area, table, and seating - perfect for enjoying the evening sun.

Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafes, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled atmosphere. Two iconic spots are nearby - Marazion (9 miles) home to a beautiful sandy beach and across from St Michael’s Mount and the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point (14 miles). Alternatively, head to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek (8 miles) or Flambards Theme Park (3 miles).

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in your lovely cottage, and would be more than happy to rebook in the future. Perfect location for privacy yet near to all local amenities. The welcome booklet held a well of information for people who may not have visited Porthleven previously.

A lovely well equipped property with everything we needed. Easy to walk to pubs, shops etc. in Porthleven, parking was no problem at all. Will definitely return.

Everything was great and as expected. The house felt damp despite opening windows. I noticed water damage around the front door frame and wondered if there was a leak. There also appeared to be dampness where the ironing board was kept and there were what looked like black mould patches on the ironing board cover. However, this didnt spoil my stay.

The property was clean and warm on arrival and suited us perfectly while we had a whistle stop tour of some of the sights in Cornwall.
