As featured in Cornwall Life, February 2019, Fair View is a stylish self-catering cottage in Porthleven boasting awe-inspiring views which will captivate and delight. This luxury retreat overlooking the beach is the perfect luxury escape for families and friends looking for some relaxation by the sea. The cottage has everything you could wish for to make your stay one you will remember forever; a log burner in the lounge for cosy nights in reading a book or watching the dramatic waves crash on the shore, a sunny courtyard for Al fresco dining and an additional loft room with 2 angled floor to ceiling gable windows with views of the beach, cliffs, harbour wall and what seems like endless sea and sky. There is also a dormer window with views over roofs to the Lizard Peninsular.

Small fishing boats land their daily catch in Porthleven, much of which is sold in Porthleven cafes and restaurants and the award winning Quayside fishmongers. An absolutely amazing property in a fantastic location.
Lovely house and views! Great to walk the dogs on the beach first thing every morning and of course the views from the loft are great!
Lovely property in a great location, couldn't ask for better, looking forward to our next stay.
A beautiful house with really comfy furnishings. Love the attic room and the bathroom is luxurious. Thank you for a lovely stay and welcome package. Really enjoyable.
Loved this cottage.Really well equipped kitchen which was a pleasure to cook in.
You should say more about the loft and the magnificent views it is a real feature of the cottage
Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
