The charming exterior of this stone-built 19th century cottage hides the stunningly refurbished interior, where the unexpectedly modern open-plan living space features a beautifully fitted kitchen, cosy living area with multi-fuel burner and underfloor heating. The dining area overlooks the small shared garden to the front at the front of the cottage. Chyhanter, (which is a sister cottage to Chyanvre next door) is Cornish for Half House, and the property is a traditional terraced cottage once thought to have housed the blacksmith from the local mine. It is located in the centre of the picturesque North coastal village of St Agnes, within walking distance of all the amenities on offer including some superb restaurants, cafes, several good pubs often playing live music, shops and some interesting galleries. Local beaches are close by. Chyhanter enjoys all day sunshine on its south-facing front garden, perfect for a barbecue after a busy day on the beach. Walkers will not be disappointed as there are plenty of countryside and coastal walks only minutes away from where spectacular sunsets can be frequently seen over the sea.

Lovely property and location.
A delightful property, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend this property unreservedly. We loved the village location, close to walks, beach, pubs, etc.
A delightful property which was very well furnished and supported.
Chyhaner is in a great location right at the heart of friendly St. Agnes. This was our second time renting Chyhanter as it is a perfect size for us and our Jack Russell. In the chiller April evenings we used the Clear view wood burner which made the cottage very cosy. We hope to be back in 2019.
Lovely well equipped cottage, just right for two and a cockerpoo. Good village location. St Agnes has plenty of places to eat and locals could not have been more friendly and helpful. A great week.
A really lovely cottage,ideally situated,very clean.

Steeped in mining history, the village retains a traditional friendly Cornish atmosphere and makes a wonderful base for your holiday, with four different beaches. There are dramatic coastal walks and breathtaking scenery filled with relics from the past, including the iconic Wheal Coates engine house, one of the most photographed spots in Cornwall and one of the locations used in the famous Poldark series.
You will find friendly eating establishments serving good food in a warm atmosphere as well as a thriving community with a choice of independent shops, galleries and craft workshops where beautiful gifts are made by hand.
