It is hard to believe this stunning detached cottage for two was once the original tack room and stables for the old Tresallyn riding school, which has since been converted to modern livery facilities. The owners have taken great care in the design and furnishing of the cottage to ensure an idyllic holiday for their visitors. Situated on a working farm the cottage offers spacious accommodation, peace and tranquillity in a rural setting. However the bustling village of St Merryn and several sandy, surfing beaches are only a short drive away as is the fishing port of Padstow, where a choice of many restaurants and places of interest including the Camel Trail may be found.

Nice friendly owners and a beautifully appointed building in a wonderful county. What more could you wish for. One of the few properties that allow two dogs. The garden and patio area were fantastic. We wanted a quite restful retreat where we could recharge our batteries. That's exactly what we got.
Tresallyn Cottage is a fabulous holiday property and perfectly situated in a very quiet, rural area. The property is spacious, yet cosy. Very clean, bright and airy with lovely doors onto the patio from lounge and kitchen diner. Nice secure garden for our dog, and some nice walks directly from the property. The owners were on site, met up on day one and very helpful but then not at all intrusive. I would highly recommend this property, we want to return to Cornwall next year but stay on the South Coast and think we will find it hard to match Tresallyn Cottage.
Another great holiday thanks, would recommend this beautiful conversion to anyone looking for a peaceful week away. We are already looking forward to next year!
The cottage was spotless and the owners very helpful, its a very good size property for 2 people with everything you could need also great for the dog.
A lovely clean property in a good location with all you could need in it. Highly recommend it to other people.
Very good property in idyllic location!
Lovely place to stay, very peaceful and the perfect get away!
Very clean, tidy and comfortable.
Lovely property and unlike most 2 person properties it was a very generous size. The property was clean and had everything we could need. We received a warm welcome from the owners and the welcome tray was very appreciated.
Very clean and comfortable. Fabulous quiet location. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
A lovely cottage will definitely return, a lovely peaceful location.
The property is one of the best we have stayed in and would definitely stay again if in the area. Will also recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.
Beautiful location peaceful and quiet just what you need for a holiday to chill and relax.
Excellent cottage and location. Great for the local beaches and dog walks.
Overall a very good holiday. Quiet, Peaceful & Restful. A very long way for us Pensioners (350 miles) but worth the effort!
Had a very good holiday at this cottage. Will be telling my friends of this cottage and will be coming back there.
Another lovely holiday at Tresallyn cottage thank you.
Super property, nice to have the owner nearby, just in case, and Cornish Horizons is one of the better firms to deal with and have always looked after us very well.
Tresallyn Cottage is a remarkable property situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Very modern and comfortable. A real break from urban living awaits. Just a 20 minute stroll into St Merryn where you'll find lots of pubs, restaurants, a bakery and much more. In 50 minutes you'll be at Constantine Bay - One of Cornwall's best beaches. Driving is also easy however parking at the beaches can be a problem, so we just walked! The dogs loved it too. I can highly recommend this property.
Our second stay at Tresallyn. A lovely cottage with nice extra touches to make it homely. Would highly recommend.
St Merryn is a hidden gem located within easy reach of the stunning coast of North Cornwall, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, helpful local convenience stores and delis, and a wide variety of places to eat. Sometimes overlooked, due to the proximity of the larger town of Padstow just ten minutes' drive away, St Merryn is nevertheless a great holiday setting in its own right, its convenient location and many amenities attracting visitors back year after year. Known as the 'Seven Bays' area due to the number of beaches along this part of the coastline, you know you are approaching the village when you see the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' signs on the road heading in. If it's a walking holiday you are looking for, St Merryn is an excellent choice, being near to beaches, cliffs and fields, where lovely views entice you from your holiday home and into the great outdoors. And of course, if you have a four legged family member, they will love it too! There is also a riding stables nearby if you've always wanted to explore the area on horseback (a wonderful way to see the stunning local scenery).
