Reviews

Fantastic property, loved the place!

Mr John D,

Have had several holidays with Cornish Horizons and found staff very helpful and efficient each time. All information sent in plenty of time and straightforward directions. Both owners of the 2 properties were welcoming and helpful. No complaints regarding property or location. All holidays thoroughly enjoyed!

Mrs B H,

Will stay here again!

Mr Stewart J,

Perfect! Comfortable, clean and quiet!

Mrs B H,

Utterly stunning location and a fantastic base for walkers. The owners were very friendly and the little touches they supplied on our arrival were much appreciated. Would definitely return. On dark nights you can make out the Milky Way. Breathtaking views of beautiful country side. We miss it already.

Mr Michael C,

Patrick and Diana make you feel at home and are very helpful.

Previous Customer,

This is the 5th time we have stayed in Gwels Efan Barn. We love it! Diana and Patrick are so welcoming. This is a very comfortable bungalow in a superb location. Plenty of peace and quiet.

Mr David G,

Holiday was in general very good, the Padstow area is lovely and we will be back again next year.

Mr Richard J,

A peaceful get away ideally situated for exploring Cornwall!

Mrs Sandra M,

We found the owners of Gwels Efan Barn to be really nice, very friendly and very helpful, the fact we could take our dog there was the most important part for us. We found during our stay that most areas including beaches are very dog friendly.

Mr Gerard A,

Map

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
