A stay in this gorgeous lodge is a sure way to unwind in peaceful countryside surroundings. This property offers everything one could expect for a family holiday, with a secure place to store surfboards and bicycles, comfortable beds, and a spacious open plan lounge kitchen diner.  Sitting on the elevated balcony watching the cows meander up and down the hillside opposite, while enjoying an evening glass of wine is a perfect way to end the day.

Situated just two miles inland from the busy fishing port of Padstow, a choice of restaurants, pubs and shops are within easy striking distance by car. If walking is a preferred means of getting around, the The Saints Way can be joined at the bottom of the hill where the hike into Padstow will show you some amazing views across the estuary and a chance to see some of the birds and wildlife in the area.

Reviews

Absolutely love this area & would definitely recommend Cornish Horizons. They have a great choice of properties to choose from. We’ve used them on a number of occasions & never had any issues at all.

Mrs Angie Hopson,

“Milton Lodge is in a great location - so close to Padstow, and all of the glorious beaches and walks nearby. The house was lovely - warm and comfortable and the kitchen had every untensil I could possibly have needed. Thoughfully, there ware jars of tea, coffee and sugar, a pack of cookies and milk in the fridge. The only slight negative is that Milton Lodge is an upside down house and there is no bathroom upstairs, so bear in mind for anyone with mobility difficulties. It was a great space to spend time with my 3 boys and my parents. We had the flexibility of eating in the well equipped kitchen / diner or going to one of the many nearby restaurants. We had fish and chips from Rick Stein's one night, and we made it back to the lodge with the food still hot. Great place with excellent amenities. Thank you for such a lovely space to stay for our holiday in Cornwall.”

Map

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
