The studio is very handy for the pretty and historic town of Padstow, only a 2 mile walk along the Saint's Way - with its delightful pubs, restaurants, galleries and shops and the unspoilt harbour - still used by the local thriving fleet of inshore fishing vessels who mainly fish for lobsters and crabs. Just a short step or two from your front door is Little Petherick Creek and the Saints' Way, an ancient trail which dates back over 1,500 years... now a great favourite with walkers providing fantastic views along the river estuary and is also rich in wildlife. Reviews

We recently stayed here for a week and it was lovely. Jay and Marie were perfect hosts, friendly, informative and laid back. The cottage was clean, comfortable and dog friendly. A great base for exploring and for chilling on the patio. We thoroughly recommend it.

Previous Customer,

Right size for 2. Good value. The owner was welcoming and it is well situated for a break in Cornwall.

Miss Sarah B,

Absolutely lovely little bungalow. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts and found we had been provided with everything we could need including an outside tap and hose to wash down the dog after particularly messy outings. Had a wonderful stay and found the Maltsters Studio to be an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall.

S R,

Comfortable and in nice location.

Mr GRAHAM B,

Map

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
