Lovely, cosy and clean property that had everything we needed for a brilliant week.

A very warm and comfortable property in a great location for exploring Cornwall.

Mrs Charlotte A,

Mr John E,

Very happy with everything.

Mrs Lynette B,

Fabulous place to stay. Felt very welcome and lovely touches. The wine biscuits and flowers a very nice thought.

Previous Customer,

This property is ideal for us and it is like home from home. The owners are lovely people who live in adjacent property so are always on hand should they be needed to help with anything at the property. The location is ideal for us too. Relatives are close by and they are easy for us to get to. Everywhere we wish to visit is also within easy reach and it is so good for us to return to The Granary Barn at the end of each day. It is a most relaxing barn with superb furniture and a most comfortable bed. Everything within the barn is exactly how we would wish it to be and we are most grateful to Kate and Stuart for keeping everything neat and tidy and so inviting. Thank you.

Mr Michael T,

Thank you for a comfortable stay, lovely location and great views.

Sally & V,

Map

If ever there was a place to fully appreciate the stark beauty of the Cornish landscape, Bodmin Moor has to be it.  With endless sweeping vistas in every direction, tumbled outcrops of granite, and inviting paths and tracks to explore, this area of Cornwall is a walker's paradise.  The famous Jamaica Inn is sited here, with all its literary and historical associations.  With plenty of sheep and moorland ponies wandering freely (be sure to keep your dog under control!) you can almost imagine you have been transported back to those bygone days.  More recently, of course, the moor was used extensively for filming on the new adaptation of Poldark.  When the dashing Mr Poldark gallops across your screen, you may well be seeing the scenery of the moor in the background. A large part of the moor has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.  This region also has its fair share of Arthurian legends, another facet which lends a mysterious air to the landscape, and an extra depth to Cornwall's rich and varied history, and of course who can forget the rumours of the Beast of Bodmin Moor? The many other attractions, including the National Trust's Lanhydrock House, the verdant and flourishing Tamar Valley, historic sites such as castles, the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, and plenty of evidence of Cornwall's mining legacy, make this area a must-see.
