Prepare for a romantic getaway in this charming stone cottage. Situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, you’ll be surrounded by legends, fairy tales and mythical beasts, and the property feels timeless, so you’ll fit right in. It’s dog-friendly too so you can bring your four-pawed friends along. This beautiful retreat is the perfect place for a getaway to Cornwall.

As you enter you’ll find a lounge with a vaulted ceiling, wood burner and glass patio doors. It’s a comfortable spot to curl up with your partner after a long day, or grab a warm drink from the coffee machine in the kitchen. The kitchen and dining areas flow through to the lounge. The kitchen is well-equipped so you can make your favourite dinners or a delicious, cooked breakfast. Finally, you’ll see a double bedroom with an en-suite shower. Everything is decorated with wood and neutral colours to make the cottage feel airy and bright, then it’ll glow in the evening when you light the fire. The garden is large and enclosed, so you can bring your canine companions, and there’s a gravelled area with a table, chairs and a BBQ so you can grill up a storm on warm evenings.

Adventurers will love the surrounding areas. You’ll be on Bodmin Moor, which is great for hiking and cycling. Take a trip to King Arthur’s Hall (2.5 miles) or Trippet Stone Circle (4.5 miles) for the sights and stories, then visit Tintagel (10 miles) to see King Arthur’s birthplace and enjoy the beaches. There’s lots of wildlife around, including at Pentire Point (14.5 miles) where you can see peregrines and seals. We had a fantastic stay at Little Irish Cottage. We were welcomed by Dawn and Gerry and a delicious cream tea was also waiting in the cottage. The location on Bodmin Moor is fantastic with so many walks to do from the cottage and also lovely beaches not too far away. The cottage was just perfect for the two of us plus our five month old lab puppy Read moreand it has a secure enclosed garden which was just perfect. The open fire was a bonus on the colder nights. We will definitely return when the dog is a bit older so can walk for longer distances. Hide

What a lovely cottage with lovely owners. The quality of the equipment, furnishings and cleanliness could not be faulted. Gerry and Dawn have thought of everything. The location was remote with only cows and horses for company. Just as we had hoped. The weather was atrocious, however, we enjoyed a lovely sandy beach dog walk at Baby Bay and TrevoRead morerne. The coastal path at Tintagel offered amazing views. Food and staff at Shipwrights in Padstow were lovely. Would recommend and stay again. Many thanks. Hide
