Property code: OC-MORV

Escape to the Cornish countryside where this three-bedroom creek-side cottage is perfect for a back-to-nature break, with a sunny conservatory, mature garden and beautiful walks from the doorstep.

This handsome semi-detached home delivers a warm welcome on arrival – step into the living room and you’ll feel immediately at home thanks to its choice of comfortable seating, feature fireplace and lovely bay window. Would-be chefs will love getting to work in the contemporary kitchen, where there are all the home-from-home must-haves including a KRUPS Nespresso coffee machine. Share the cooking duties then gather around the table in the adjacent dining room – there’s a selection of board games in the sideboard for after-dinner entertainment. If you’d prefer some quiet time, take a seat instead in the conservatory; overlooking the rear garden, it’s a relaxing place to curl up with a book or watch for wildlife. When bedtime nears, move upstairs and you’ll find three bedrooms: in the first there’s a king-size bed and stunning views across the creek, while the second has twin beds and the third has a single bed. All share use of the modern family bathroom, where there’s both a bath and separate shower cubicle. An enclosed driveway offers plenty of parking space and sets the property back from the road. But it’s at the rear that you’ll really appreciate how special your location is – a beautiful garden with terrace, lawned area and a mature apple tree has a gate giving access to the nearby creek, a haven for wildlife.

Rural Tresillian has a traditional pub and village shop and is at the tidal head of the river that shares its name. One of the county’s nicest water’s edge walks begins here: a 3-mile route to Malpas, or for a different type of wander, the characterful cobbled streets of the bustling city of Truro are just 3 miles by car. Drive 15 miles west and you’ll reach St Agnes; stretching 10 miles across rolling countryside, the village is edged by four beaches and a coastline that’s a haven for wildlife, with the South West Coast Path providing walks for all abilities.
