Escape with your loved one to this charming Cornish retreat in the bustling harbour town of Porthleven. This gorgeous traditional property has lovely thick stone walls, wooden ceiling beams and traditional arched windows in the bathroom for a trip steeped in history, and with all your creature comforts catered for. You’ll have a wonderful sandy beach 0.5 miles away and wonderful coastal walking opportunities within 1 mile. With one super-king-size bedroom, this accommodation is just right for a solo traveller or a romantic stay with a partner.

The bright and airy apartment has been modernised to a high standard, and features a lovely nautical-inspired decor to inspire you during your stay. In the open-plan living area, you’ll have a welcoming sofa and Smart TV all ready for relaxing. The modern kitchen is ideal for cooking yummy meals, perhaps using freshly caught seafood purchased nearby, while the cosy bedroom has a charming feature fireplace. Outside, the sunny patio creates an ideal spot for enjoying breakfast in the fresh air. It’s furnished with a bistro set and there’s a handy shower attachment for rinsing off sandy feet and swim gear.

The property is in a handy location with pubs, shops and quirky shops all within walking distance (400 metres). For an enchanting coastal walk, we recommend joining the South West Coast Path (1 mile) and following it along to The Loe (3 miles), a large freshwater lake. If you’re feeling energetic, continue to Gunwalloe (4.5 miles) where a listed medieval church sits between two spectacular coves. At Marazion, 9 miles in the opposite direction, you can take a boat to the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount.

It is in a prime location to the harbour (2 minutes walk). You walk in and immediately know that the property is exactly what you were looking for - only shame it was just for a week for me. Porthleven is vibrant with so much to see and do, and is a great base to explore/ re-explore this part of Cornwall. Well worth the six hour drive from Essex, wRead moreill be coming back again soon. Everything was to a high standard which we were expecting and location was perfect being so close to the harbour, beach and many lovely restaurants. The reason for the 4 score on booking again is only because we hope to visit many other places /countries and may not return to Cornwall very soon.

We had to request an oven glove which was missing. Also the property would benefit from having a tea pot. Other reviews we read praised the welcome pack. There appears to have been a policy change as there was no welcome pack and I had to pop down to Pengellys for milk when we arrived. Having said this the property was perfect for the two of us. ItRead more is in a great location convenient for the harbour and the shops and restaurants. We would happily return. Hide
