Head to the harbour (less than half a mile) to find a blissful boat trip for a fun family day out, opting for one of the glass-bottomed boat trips where you can see what’s beneath the surface, or heading out to Looe Island to spot rare plant life and wildlife. From the town, you’ll have great access to the South West Coast Path, with a moderate 6-mile walk from Looe-Polperro offering up some spectacular panoramic views with plenty of spots to stop off for a picnic en route. Further afield, the Eden Project (21 miles) offers a taste of the Mediterranean and rainforest climates with their impressive biomes filled with interesting facts and interactive exhibits.
