This two-bedroom log cabin is situated on the outskirts of Ludgvan village and is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by woodland and boasting a delightful hot tub, this is a wonderfully quiet getaway for a couple or small family wanting relaxation and privacy.

The rooms are all located on one level and inside the decor is simple and fresh with natural finishes and calming tones throughout. In the living area, swathes of light create a tranquil ambience and it won’t be long before you’re relaxing on the lounge sofa and staring through the French doors at the mesmerising subtropical garden. The lovely kitchen has some contemporary touches including a marble worktop and a pull-out dining table. But when the weather is good, you’ll want to step outside and enjoy a meal on the deck. Off from the living area are two bedrooms, a double and a single. Both bedrooms are beautifully furnished and with only the sound of trees rustling in the breeze, you’ll be sure of a good night’s sleep. In the morning, step onto the decked terrace and enjoy coffee while watching the squirrels and buzzards in the woodland. There’s also a wood-fired hot tub so you can enjoy a good soak while listening to the sounds of nature.

From the property, nature lovers can stroll through the private 5-acre woodland down to the valley below. For a day on the beach, head to Marazion Beach (2.5 miles) and swim in the sea, or try your hand at sailing and kayaking. St Michael’s Mount, a medieval castle set in the sea, is also worth a visit. History lovers can also explore Chysauster Ancient Village, a Roman settlement set on a hillside 3 miles away.
