This delightful one-bedroom timber lodge on the outskirts of Ludgvan is set within tropical gardens and overlooks an enchanting water-lily pond. It’s the perfect place for a romantic getaway and for couples who want to immerse themselves in nature.

Designed in the style of an oriental tea house, inside is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Distributed over one floor, the rooms are all elegant sophistication with high ceilings, light tones, and glass windows that bring the beautiful outside in. Stylish decor makes the lounge a chic space with pleasant touches including oriental artwork, polished bamboo flooring, and colourful cushions and rugs. Relax on the sofa and while away the hours gazing through the huge windows, or step through to the kitchen and enjoy a meal inside or out on the deck. When it’s time for bed, retreat to the bedroom and sink into the double bed. Awash with light, it’s a serene space with huge windows so you can watch the sun rise over the pond from the comfort of your bed. Delightful extras include a beautiful bathroom with a tropical ambience and underfloor heating. Outside, a delightful deck features all-weather cane easy chairs. During the day, bask in the sun and listen to the sounds of nature while at night, dine alfresco at the table and keep an eye out for badgers, foxes, and bats.

From the property, explore the tropical gardens and 5 acres of private woodland or head to the coastal village of Marazion (3 miles) and swim in the sea. At low tide, be sure to walk over the causeway to St Michael’s Mount and visit the medieval castle. Alternatively, head to Penzance (4 miles), where you’ll find a good selection of shops and restaurants plus the Jubilee Pool, an open-air lido with fantastic geothermal waters.

Really nice, very homely. There was a little mix up at the start of our stay but the owners were very apologetic and accommodating, honestly they couldn't have done more. Myself and my girlfriend are super happy with our stay and we will look to be booking again in the future.
