Bring the whole family to this welcoming four-bed property in Newquay. The detached house has an air of the Swiss-style chalet about it, and with its downstairs bedroom/bathroom combination, makes a fab option for a multi-generational break, whether that’s for friends or family. Great Western Beach is within 0.5 miles, so just a short stroll and you can feel the sand between your toes in no time.

Family life can flow in this bright and airy home-from-home with stylish modern interiors. Store boots and coats in the hallway and make use of the utility room if you’ve got dogs with mucky paws. The contemporary kitchen has units down one side and the slick modern dining table comfortably seats eight along the other. Through an enlarged open doorway, the comfortable lounge has stacks of sofa seating and French doors out to the furnished raised terrace and decked area down some steps beyond. Sleeping quarters comprise one king-size bedroom on the ground floor, and upstairs the master super-king-size (can be a twin by request) offers a balcony with a bistro set. There’s also a twin and a bunk bedroom, both of which offer versatility and charming sloping ceilings with Velux windows.

Newquay is your oyster while staying at this convenient house. Head to the beaches to walk the dogs, try your luck surfing or just relax and watch. Don’t forget your bucket and spades! The town centre and a choice of canine-compatible beaches are within 0.5 miles. Eateries also abound for days you fancy a break from cooking. Head to Watergate Bay (3.5 miles) to enjoy 2 miles of golden sands popular with surfers. Or foodies can have a great visit to Padstow (16 miles).

This house was fabulous and spacious, so useful if you have a dog! The garden was securely enclosed so there was a peace of mind knowing Max couldn't escape. It was in a very quiet road, but 5 minutes to the shops, restaurants and bars. Ideal location, everything is on your doorstep.
