This delightful, cottage is conveniently placed for touring Devon and Cornwall. Discover fishing villages, the rugged moors or scenic coastlines, before returning to a welcoming garden.

Where contemporary meets countryside stylings, this traditional stone cottage has been sensitively renovated, retaining its historic charm and cosiness whilst providing stylish extra special touches which guarantee a peaceful and relaxing stay in North Cornwall.

In contrast to the traditional stone fronted outside, the inside of the cottage boasts wonderfully contemporary interiors, adorned with a light colour palette of greys, creating a cool, calming atmosphere for a peaceful evening in. The stylish kitchen/diner is kitted out with everything you need to refuel after a day’s hike along the South West Coast Path. Once you’ve whipped up a family meal with all the local produce you’ve foraged, it can be enjoyed in the chic dining room beyond. Fire up the roaring wood burner and hunker down for the evening on the plush leather sofas in the cosy living room. You’ll be spoilt for choice with four lovingly decorated bedrooms upstairs, and a wonderfully luxurious family bathroom with a walk-in shower, perfect for washing off sandy toes. Head out to the patio area, which leads onto a large lawn and decked seating area, ideal for stargazing, sunset watching and dining alfresco amongst the rolling countryside views.

The secluded countryside village of Whitstone is just 8.5 miles south of the laid-back allure of neighbouring Bude. The latter is repeatedly named the Best UK Coastal Town; it’s conveniently located right on the Devon border and offers romantic walkways along the wild coastline, fun-filled family activities and sandy stretches aplenty. Discover the treasures of the unique independent shops and boutiques along the bustling high street before sampling some wonderful locally sourced produce by enjoying a bag of fish and chips on Widemouth Bay Beach 6.5 miles away. Above the bay, join the South West Coast Path passing over the rugged coastline, where you can take a geological tour of Bude's unique rock formations.

Lovely cottage with plenty of space.3 reasonably sized double bedrooms. Modern feel to an old cottage. Good value for money and facilities were absolutely fine for 7 guests including 3 children. Inland location but not too far from Bude and local beaches. Weather meant we could not enjoy the garden which is reasonably sized. Shop within 5 minutes wRead morealk had most of what we needed. 15 minutes drive to Bude supermarkets for everything else. Would recommend. Hide

Great cottage - all of us loved it! Really well equipped kitchen. Quiet (the road had only about 6 vehicles per minute, at the busiest times). Lovely aspect (at the front and especially at the rear). Really useful shop about 120 metres away. Good location to explore the area from.

An Ok Cottage. On a VERY busy road day and night, quite dangerous steep stairs to the upstairs and 4th single room was really unsafe for our 4 year old so he needed up in with us. Shower looks nice but had poor pressure and temperature was either roasting hot or stone cold. Bath took nearly an hour to run and between the 4 of us we couldnt work outRead more how to actually get warm water as a posed to hot or cold. Overall it didnt ruin our holiday- but I wouldnt recommend it to friends/Family. Hide
