Hide away with your loved one at this studio-style cottage with a view. Surrounded by rolling hills and a patchwork of fields, this property is the ideal place to stay for a retreat in the heart of Cornwall. Despite its rural location, it's only 2 miles to the closest beach and less than a mile into the local village so you'll be close to great amenities while maintaining seclusion. Step out onto a patio lined with shrubbery to enjoy dinner and drinks under the stars.

Artfully decorated with warm colours and vibrant furnishings, the interior is dotted with stylish touches in the form of wooden beams and farmhouse-style furniture. The ornately carved double bed adds a splash of luxury and grandeur, while large windows and French doors provide panoramic views of the English countryside. Close the blinds in the evening and curl up in front of the wood burner for a cosy evening, just you two.

Less than a mile away is Mount Hawke where you can buy fresh produce, enjoy a meal or visit Cornwall's largest indoor skate park. Porthtowan Beach is 2 miles away, while Portreath is further down the coast (5 miles). The thriving village of St. Agnes is 6 miles away and a great walking spot; roam the cliffs and heathland of the area and you can find the site of an old tin mine, Wheal Coates (4 miles). Days out include Perranporth (8 miles), St Ives (20 miles), St Michael's Mount (21 miles) and the famous Land's End (32 miles).

Dorothy and Paul were very welcoming. The cottage was very clean. The views are stunning and the location is perfect to explore the surrounding area. We had 3 rainy days during our week but other than that everything was as expected and excellent.

Lovely location. Ideal for walkers. Seams smaller than appears in the photos but comfortable. Has halogen hot plate and combination microwave & oven. Which we couldnt get our heads around.

Second time staying at Bumble Down Studio - its just perfect! Such a pretty location and views over the countryside. Great access to the main roads linking to the surrounding area.
